Mark McGowan has been a level 3 FEI coursebuilder for the last 14 years. His passion for course design originates from his passion for horses and he has been involved in producing world class showjumpers which have gone on to compete at Grand Prix level internationally!

His incredible reputation and dedication to his own international career as a course builder have seen him build at some of the most prestihious venues in the world, including Spruce Meadows in Canada, Villamoura in Portugal, and Palm beach in the United States, to name a few.

Rockrose is delighted to be able to hold his renowned clinic on how to plan and execute the perfect showjumping round. This is a very different take on how to achieve those illusive clear rounds, and he will offer a great insight into how a course builder tests the rider and will give tips on how to avoid those costly mistakes!

This clinic is for the showjumper and the eventer and will comprise of four riders in the arena with Mark for 90 mins. The first 30 mins will be walking the course Mark has designed and talking through the potential pitfalls, correct lines to jumps and discussing where problems may arise. The next hour will be practicing over the jumps, completing the course, (several times maybe) and finishing with general discussion and summary how things went.
